It's been a long long time

Right... it's been a while since the last post in Singapore..
Now I can still remember the feeling, the weather and the atmosphere when I write every article.

I'm not traveling now, or at least not in other country.
Now I'm a beginner in the real world.
Trying to adapt every thing in the work place, trying to get used to the "work" environment.
Is it what I want? Do I enjoy the life what I have now? I don't know.

I like to learn something new, still.
Actually, I have a lot of time to do my own stuff.
I can manage what I want to learn, what I want to search from the internet.
But I don't seems to use my time wisely.

So here is the new year's wish (is it too late to make a wish? hehe)
1. Use my time wisely.
2. Keep learning, and never get tired of making myself better in every field.

GOGOGO!!!!

Waiting for 3 hours in Malaysia for transfer
When I finally arrive Singapore, was totally tired!!

Though the hostel located at a very strange place, but the check out time is 12:30!!
How nice is that!!!
Totally fit my need -> sleep as much as possible!!

However... I woke up at 8am, and couldn't sleep at all afterwards... = =
What's going on!!!

3/3-3/9 New Zealand!!!!

3/3 – 3/9 New Zealand (South Island)

Day 1: Melbourne -> Christchurch
Day 2: Christchurch -> Lake Tekapo
Day 3: Lake Tekapo -> Mt. Cook -> Queenstown
Day 4: Queenstown ->Lake Wanaka
Day 5: Lake Wanaka ->Franz Josef Glacier
Day 6: Franz Josef Glacier -> Christchurch
Day 7: Christchurch

New Zealand is a cool place!!!
This time, we only have 7 days to stay in New Zealand, it’s too short!
We were thinking to go to North and South Island together, but the time is really too short… so hope I can go to North island next time!!!

There are much more population in North Island, but South Island has more beautiful things to see, such as glacier, high mountains and 峽灣!

In the first stop, Christchurch… though the earthquake has been one year already, there are still so many damaged buildings in the city center.
The city center is still blocked, and it’s really not easy to drive in the city…
We had to “perform a u-turn if possible” all the time.
Broken houses are still everywhere, and it’s a bit scary because of the empty houses, but it’s obvious to see that Christchurch was a beautiful city before.
The houses are very different to the ones in Melbourne… don’t know why… just look different! Haha
There are not much things we can do in CHC, and it was so cold in the evening… don’t want to leave the hostel!

We’ve been to many lakes in NZ, but Lake Tekapo is definitely the best one!
The lake is very different because of its color, and there are so many beautiful snowy mountains surround!
The Turkish color water comes from the glaciers in the mountains.

It’s just beautiful… but it’s also very cold there.
I put a bottle of water in the car overnight, and I thought it almost frozen in the next day = =

Queenstown is a lovely town… full of backpackers.
Queenstown is the original place for the advanture activities such as bungy jumping, sky diving, mountain bicycle…
But I think it’s more for the people who are keen for the exciting things and the people with a lot of money…
The price of sky diving is around $600NZD!!!
So… we went there, had a great cup of coffee in a lovely café, had a nice walk around the lake, and enjoyed the wonderful free wifi in the city, and that’s enough :P

Lake Wanaka is nothing special…
Just found a cool sun screen vending machine, and that’s it!

Franz Josef Glacier!!!
Joining the glacier half day tour was the most exiting schedule for me in NZ.
The tour varies.
2 hour tour can only see the edge of the glacier, 0hr on the ice.
Half day tour can get on the glacier, 1hr on the ice.
So consider of our balance, we decide to go for the half day tour, at least we can touch the ice!
However, when we arrived Franz Josef, they said the tours are all fully booked…
There is only one space in the next day, otherwise we have to wait until the day after…
We don’t have that much time to wait til the day after, so… helicopter!!!!
Helicopter cost more, and it’s only for 20 mins, but we can stand on the snow without any effort ;)
So Tobi bargained the price, and we booked a 20 mins tour for the next morning.

In the next morning, we checked out the hostel, and arrive the meeting point with excitement.
Suddenly, the officer told us, because 4 other people booked a 30 mins tour, so we upgraded to the more expensive one ($100 more) for free!!!!
Yeah!!!
So we stood on the glacier, take hundreds of photos in the helicopter ;) hehehe

Surprisingly, it’s not cold at all up there.
They said it’s about 3 degrees less than the village.
Because it snows more than 7 meters every year, so the ice in the glacier doesn’t melt even with very strong sunshine!!!

I’m waiting for my flight in CHC airport, going to transfer in Kuala Lumpo to Singapore.
Stay in Singapore for one night, and ready to start my Europe trip!!!!!

Now it’s around 10 degrees in CHC outside, but my computer says it’s 38 degree in Singapore?! Really!????

Winery in Melbourne

It's been a long period that I haven't renew this blog....

Yarra Valley, was the destination of today.
It is a place that very close to Melboure, about 1h away by car, especially famous for its winerys there cause it's a important place for the vineyards!
We've been planing for a car trip since two weeks ago, and kept canceling dued to the bad weather.
Finally, it stoped raining on Thursday, so we decide to empty our Sunday for a small trip :D

Hit on the road around 9.30, was a bit late compared to our schedule.
Before arriving the car rental company, there was a guy suddenly lied down on the pedestrian walk and started twitching!
We thought he was just get drunk so lying on the floor.
But afterwards, he looked really scaring and even you can see the blood coming out of his mouth!!!
It was really really scaring scene in the morning!!!
So glad that two kind guys took care of that person and calling the ambulence to pick him up, and we could keep moving without feeling guilty.

Finding the correct way in the city is never an easy task.
After missing the right places to turn and did u-turns for several times, we finally got on the highway! lol
I thought Yarra Vally is a small place which you can easily see many winerys and restaurants on the main roads, however, it's totally wrong!
Yarra Vally is actually a big area, and the winerys and so on are not centralized, they located losely.
The area is really a nice place to live.
It's very country side, with great views, fresh air, green grasses and easy to get wines :P
Also, compared to the other countrysides, it is close to the city center as well, just 1 hour away.
But the living cost is too high there... even a very simple breakfast...
We should notice that when we saw that many fancy convertivales on the road!

Aftering finishing our brunch in a very nice and comfortable cafe under the sun, the second stop was the sanctuary.
My first Koala! and the second, third, fouth and fifth!
They are sooooooooo cute!!!!!
Especially when they sit so comfortable on the branch, graping and chewing the leaves~~
Oh, how can an animal be this unreal!!

Happy Chinese new year!

Because of the Chinese new year, I decide to change the template of my blogger.
I really like the new one, this template gave me a kind of fresh and comfortable feeling :D
And i havn't write any new article for a long time, just because i'm too lazy to write every thing down...
Anyway, recently, i start writing my master thesis.
This is abolutly one of the most boring thing ever!
I hate to write any format of report, and not to mention that i have to write more than 40 pages in English!
It's really killing me....
But the good part is, i can feel my English typing is getting faster and faster recently.
During the writing, i'm also practicing my typing.
Finally found a good reason to do this extremly boring process....

This winter vacation probably is my last one, but i still had a great time, though i had the preasure of writing thesis.
Before the Chinese new year, my family decided to travel around Taiwan.
Actually, my mom and dad has driven to circle around Taiwan for many many times.
My dad loves driving, so he is always happy to be the driver, even though he needs to continuiously driving for 5 hours.
This time, they took me with them, and ready to have a 4 days trip together.

Here is the simplified map of Taiwan

My home is the Capital City in the Northern Taiwan called Taipei.
We left our home about 8AM in the morning.
Our first stop is Hualien, an beautiful city in the eastern Taiwan, which is also the city where my univercity located.
I can say i'm very familier with this city, so i decided to took them to some places that i really love.
First we went to "七星潭", which means "the lake of seven stars".
Although the name says its a lake, but actually, it's the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
I've been there for several times, the weather was always bad, and i can't feel the beauty of that place at all.
Therefore, I always disagree with the travel guide which said the most visit place in Hualien is "The lake of seven stars".
But this time, i totally changed my mind, cause that is really a beautiful place, and the weather is just perfect!
Check the photos below!

After having the lunch in Hualien City, we went to a place i just knew it two month ago!
That place called "雲山水", means "Cloud, mountain and water".
I knew that place is because last time when i went to Hualien with my friends in NDHU tennis team, one of our member is the resident of Hualien, and she took us there.
I was suprise that i didn't know that place for four years, and that is really really a cool place!
It looks like a huge golf court,or garden, with trees, flowers, and lake!
A resident of Hualien told me that the land over there is actually private own, and not open to the public, but somehow, everyone can get inside now.
(Fortunetly, not too many people know that place, or it will be full of people in the end...)
Anyway, there is a perfect place, and i would like to go there in the next time, if it's still peaceful and quite! :P

After visiting "Cloud, mountain and water", we went to LiChuan fishing ground to take a look and back to Hualien City for dinner.
( LiChuan is a good place to relax, and a must visit spot in Hualien in every travel guide!)

In the next day, we planed to keep going down to the next city, Taitung.
Taitung is southern than Hualien.
Since there are less resident that Hualien, it's even more natureal!
If you want to go from Hualien to Taitung, you have two choices, Highway 9 and 11.
Highway 9 is the road between Coastal Range and Central Mountain Range and go though many bigger village on the plain.
There are more people lives beside highway 9.
However, Highway 11 is the road on the other side of Coastal Range, with Pacific ocean besides.
I love Highway 11 is because the eastern coast is so damm beautiful, the clear sky and blue ocean can always makes me in a good mood!
Check out the photos of it!

There is a fancy hotel in the begining of Highway 11, and the view from that place is just perfect!
I took some photos from there.

I love the eastern coast of Taiwan, and really consider to move to there when i retire! Seriously!

It's a long way to Taitung, so when we arrived our hotel, it was almost 7 in the evening.
And after we left Taitung, we went to Kaohsiung to stay for one night.
I didn't took photos after we left Taitung cause we didn't visit any tourist spot, and directly drive to the place we stayed.
Anyway, Eastern Taiwan is the best place i've ever stay!
I lOVE IT!!!!

Hong Kong trip on Sep. 11

Hmm, I have already come back from India about one month.
After departure from Delhi, I went to Hong Kong for 3 days with my best friends.
They went there from Taiwan, and we met in our hotel.

How do I descripe HK?
I'll say it's a very very modern city.
They used to be HK's colony, and was given back to China since 1999.
It's also crowded as Taiwan, but of course, can't compare with India, ha.
HK has many many skyscrapers, and most of them are very special.
They are not like normal building, they are well designed, and has very different shapes!
Let's see some photos, then, you can understand.

Hmm, the buildings in HK are so beautiful~ I love them!
And also the food there are soo good, but expensive....
Although they are not cheap, but I hadn't eaten Chinese food for a long long time, so I ate a lot!!!
HA
Some HK food are similar to Taiwanes food, but they are more Cantonese.
Anyway, they are all very delicious!

Though HK is an advanced city, but people are a little bit cold...
This is just my personal feeling. HA
A lot of Taiwanese go to Hong Kong just for food and shopping.
I can understand the food part and I ate a lot as well.
But the shopping part... hmm... compare to India, HK is totally tooo expensive!
Ha, I know i shouldn't put them together, but it's true, haha.
I bought several pants, t-shirts, bags, shoes, shorts, and jackets... just everything!
Yes, I know I bought too many things in India, so this is another reason why I didn't buy anything there~
Ha, and I was really afriad when i checkin in the airport, they would charge me some money because of the overweight luggages! (Fortunatly they didn't ;) )

Travel with best friends is the best part in the trip!
Thanks Sharon and Chicken for accompany me, and planed the whole trip!!!
I love you~

17days trip- part 3

和錫克教家庭聊天, 最後睡個覺, 15個小時就到了Jhansi火車站
從Jhansi還要再大約坐40分鐘的Auto才能到我們要去的Orchha

第三站: Orchha
Orchha

Lola
